In the first of our series of ‘Meet the Therapist’ spotlights, we chatted with Eoin O’Sullivan, from the 5 Star Fota Island Resort, Co. Cork, Ireland, to find out what drives him in his career and why he loves working with Kerstin Florian at Fota Island Spa. Eoin is the first male Kerstin Florian Spa Therapist at Fota Island Spa – in fact he has the honour of being the first in Ireland!
A qualified Make-Up Artist, Beauty Specialist and Holistic Therapist, Eoin always had a keen interest in the world of make-up and beauty. It was during his first make-up artistry course, Eoin discovered his passion for spa and wellness and has worked hard to qualify and excel in this area.
Tell us what you love about your job?
I love how my job has such a positive impact on my clients and I love being able to provide a safe and relaxing space for people to be able to take time for themselves. I am also very passionate about being able to help my clients with their insecurities with their skin by providing advice and the tools to help make a difference for them and the high levels of training I received from Kerstin Florian in the treatments and ingredients of the products makes it possible for me to continue doing what I love.
What in particular do you love about working with Kerstin Florian?
I love working with Kerstin Florian as it always delivers what it promises. It is an honest and true brand that has made an amazing difference to my own skin and I have been inspired to share that experience.
What do you feel makes Kerstin Florian stand out in the industry?
It’s the diversity of products and tools available to me that makes Kerstin Florian stand out in the world of spa and wellness. Their innovative approach and holistic understanding of the importance of ones well-being, beyond the superficial, is what makes me want to work with Kerstin Florian over and over again throughout the day. No matter what I need for my client there is always a suitable product that I can use to help and enhance my client’s experience. The fact that all of my clients can avail of these products to purchase at the spa and continue the Kerstin Florian journey at home is truly inspiring and in this industry brands that can inspire and support their therapist will always stand out to me.
What is your favourite Kerstin Florian in spa experience?
My favourite treatment has to the Ultimate Anti-Aging Rejuvenation, because it really is the ultimate rejuvenation. All the elements of the treatment, from full body exfoliation to the luxury oil application through to the facial gives me the tools to provide an amazing experience for every client to leave my treatment room feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated – they walk out of my treatment room the best version of themselves and as a therapist that is my goal.
What are your favourite Kerstin Florian Products?
My top six products that I cannot be without are
Rehydrating Neroli Cleansing Milk: as it cleanses the most deliciate of skin and removes all debris, without ever stripping or impairing the skins natural barrier.
Rehydrating Neroli Water: an absolutely amazing product that always provides such a refreshing boost of hydration, whether you use it after cleansing or throughout the day.
Clarifying Berry Plus Serum: I just love how soothing this product is! It works to nourish the skin and is packed full of antioxidants to boost and rejuvenate the skin. Its delicate aroma alone will keep you going back for more!
Correcting Brightening Eye Creme: hands down the best eye cream I have ever used. It really does help with puffiness under the eyes and dark circles. It has a light weight formula that makes you feel like you’re not even wearing an eye cream.
Correcting Multi-Vitamin Day Creme: one of the best sellers in the range and it really is a must have. Not only does it provide sun protection thanks to its SPF30 coverage, it also nourishes, hydrates and gives the most beautiful glow to the skin, without being heavy.
Rejuvenating Moisture Balm: I love that it is multi-tasking. Not only is it fantastic as a hydrating mask but it can also be used as an overnight treatment which is amazing for busy people who feel that they don’t have the time for masking.
